A wicked man puts up a bold front, but an upright man gives thought to his ways. There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. Proverbs 21:29-30

This is what the Lord says: "Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," says the Lord. Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, for men's anger does not bring out the righteous life that God desires. James 1:19b-20

Do not be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:16-17

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks. Matthew 12:34b

Who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not? 1 Corinthians 4:7

Don't you know that when you offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one whom you obey -whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? Romans 6:16

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. This is by no means a thorough representation of what the Bible has to say about a majority of important topics. The wisdom of the Bible is unparalleled in any other book (for it is the very word of God) and this is only a glimpse of it. If you feel I have taken any verses out of context, please make me aware of it. May what you read here encourage you to further seek God's will and wisdom in the Bible.
